Brian George

george.jpgBrian was born and raised in the greatest city in America, (biased opinion, but right nonetheless), Pittsburgh. It's a drinking town with a football problem. Brian grew up listening to some of the best broadcasters in sports: Bill Hillgrove, Myron Cope, Mike Lange, and Lanny Frattare.

After a stellar high school career, he decided to hang up the skates, cleats, pads and jock strap to embark on a career behind the mic. Brian attended Bowling Green State University where he met Andy, Nick, Erik and Joel, graduating in May of 2005. Which by the way was much quicker than the rest of those bums (some say he is a true prodigy). He was also a member of the student based B.G.R.S.O, where he called numerous BGSU football, baseball and basketball games.

In December of 2005, Brian saddled up and headed west to Woodward, Okla., where he currently serves as the News/Sports Director for KWOX-FM and KMZE-FM. He also serves as the Station Manager for KMZE, a 50,000w Hot AC station with Omni Communications. Brian is a two-time winner of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Sportscast Of The Year Award and recently awarded the Association's Play-by-Play Broadcast of the Year Award for 2007. Brian has also won various awards from the Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalism for Newscast, Sportscast and Play-By-Play.

Since moving to Oklahoma, Brian has become a big Oklahoma State Cowboy fan. He despises the University of Oklahoma, and still roots for Bowling Green. Above all, though, he remains true to his roots and is a diehard Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. The easiest way to bring this man to tears is to mention the names Francisco Cabrera, Sid Bream, or Stan Belinda. Fifteen years and counting Buccos fans......
