THE PROS

The Augusta Greenjackets are using Brett Favre's indecision to their advantage.

Peter King's connections land him a sitdown with Favre; he says it could get ugly soon. (And King spews forth more BS about Favre 'needing some love.' Seriously, how old is he? Didn't he stop needing attention when he was 12? Also, this gem: 'He's not a confrontational person.' Riiiiiiiight.)

Not shockingly, I agree with Ted Thompson's comments from the first day of Pack camp.

More Favre: Why does anyone believe a word Favre says? I thought it was revealing when Packers coach Mike McCarthy said in his Saturday press conference, that the team is taking the high road. Meanwhile, Favre is spouting off all sorts of BS. I wonder if he's familiar with the term "high road"? ... And, Snap Judgments: Don't expect Favre to play anywhere this season.

News, notes: Devin Hester quickly gets a new deal. ... Glenn Dorsey's in camp. ... Asante Samuel hurt his hamstring.

ESPN's camp reports: The Bears' quarterbacks are under the gun. ... The Colts are feeling fine, despite their bunch of injuries. ... The Ravens' quarterback competition is open. ... We'll talk Saints tomorrow, but it sounds like Jonathan Vilma will make a big difference for New Orleans. ... The Dolphins are talking Super Bowl. Ack! ... The Cardinals are heavily dependent on Matt Leinart.

Sportsline's camp reports: Philly's defense is crucial. ... As is Cleveland's.

Leodis McKelvin's mom is excited about his $19 million deal.

Jamarcus Russell is in good shape.

The Cowboys, who we wrote about last week, are Hollywood. ... And speaking of, one writer says the rewards are too good not to take a chance on Adam Jones.

Jim Zorn is not your typical Daniel Snyder hire.

Teams with quarterback controversies are only kidding themselves, Ross Tucker says.

The Jags are expecting big things from Troy Williamson.

Troubled Broncos wideout Brandon Marshall could use some guidance from the departing Rod Smith.

Some issues as camps continue.
