The dropback: June 17, 2008

| | Comments (0)

Erik Bell got our new blogs kickstarted this morning, and we'll have blogs on the site five of seven days every week. We're extremely excited about that, and you should be, too.

The blogs won't take away from the dropbacks, though, and here's another edition of some links.

Enjoy!

THE PROS
News and notes:
I had a joke written about Javon Walker being found unconscious on a street in Vegas, but it sounds fairly serious. ... Marvin Harrison's case has essentially stalled, ESPN.com's Sal Paolantonio writes. ... The Texans bolster their linebacking corps with former Pat Roosevelt Colvin. ... Jeremy Shockey for Jason Taylor? These folks say it's unlikely.

Like this fella, I've got high hopes for the Saints.

The 2005 draft: not impressive.

Can the Bears overcome a rocky offseason

How about some other division previews? WhatIfSports.com breaks down the AFC East, South and West and the NFC East. (These are kind of cool.)

Some possible breakouts.

Browns stud left tackle Joe Thomas seems like a cool dude.

Deangelo Hall wants to be The Guy for the Raiders.

Cincinnati rookie linebacker Keith Rivers blogs for FoxSports.com.

The Bills' offense, in need of a jumpstart, turns to the Sam Wyche-era Bengals.

COLLEGES
Who is your school's "Face of the Program"? Bowling Green's is easy: Doyt L. Perry.

Rashard Mendenhall's brother transfers from Illinois.

FoxSports.com asks whether Dennis Erickson and Arizona State can keep up the momentum.

Yep, coaches salaries are inversely proportional to those folks' place in the world.

Former Alabama QB is Mr. Sara Evans. Color me jealous.

Who's got the best fight song? (Wow: Bowling Green's "Ay Ziggy Zoomba" not in the top 25, although that's the school's "unofficial" fight song.)
